For those who are familliar with Syriac script, I was very surprised to find that Unicode Syriac did not have a glyph for syame dots! So, for unmarked texts (texts without vowels or dialect marks) I will use the Eastern zqapa (two slanted dots above) to denote where the syame dots would normally be used.
